On Friday, March 5th, 2010, the Harp and Shamrock Society will present the 30th Annual Shamrock Scramble a The 4-person scramble begins with a bagpipe start at 1:00. The tournament will be held at the Fort Sam Houston Golf Course.
This year the tournament features a golf ball drop with a chance to win $500.00! Purchase a golf ball for $20.00 (There is no limit of the number of balls you may buy) Just before the start of the tournament, the balls will be dropped from a height of about 10 feet. The ball that comes to rest closest to the center of a Shamrock on the green will be awarded a cash prize of $500.00. You don’t need to be present to win and people may contact any board member to purchase the golf balls.
